OUR VALUES

 This list of core values contains irrefutable ordinances for our ministry that create filters for how our leaders make decisions in order to facilitate and implement the culture of LIGHT CITY.  We desire that all who are connected to our church exhibit these attributes in their daily lives, influencing everything they do for the glory of God.

LOVE

We seek to continuously grow more in love with God. Through His power and Spirit, we make it the utmost priority to love others through word and action.

LIVE THE WORD

We pattern our lives after the Word of God. We endeavor to make the Word of God a part of our everyday life.

FAMILY

“We are not building a church, but growing a family.” This statement encompasses our heart’s motivation to establish and grow a healthy spiritual family.

RELATIONSHIPS

We seek to do life together as a spiritual family. This includes times of joy, times of sorrow, times of blessed circumstances, and even times of trouble. We are better together. #dontdolifealone

ONEANOTHERCULTURE

We seek to obey all of the “one another” commands in Scripture. Christ wants us to be known for our love; He stated that our unity and love for one another would cause others to believe in Him. Our goal is not to merely get along, but to love each other to the extent that Christ loved us.

TRUTHFUL & TRANSPARENT

We are people of integrity. We seek to live our lives and serve from a place of authenticity and transparency.

HONOR

We publicly recognize the gifts God has placed in people. We endeavor to create a culture of appreciation. We believe where there is honor, people flourish. We will not withhold praise; we will encourage a culture that looks for the great things God has placed in all of us.

We value excellence shown in the quality and creativity of our work because we are a reflection of God.

GENEORSITY

We believe God blesses us in order to bless others. The bible teaches in 2 Corinthians that God will enrich us in every way for the express purpose of being generous toward others. We purposely pray for God’s blessing in our lives not to keep or hoard for ourselves, but to reach someone else through God’s generosity. We pray that God will bless others through us.
