FASTING OPTIONS

Option 1 – Between the hours of 7am-7pm, participants will consume fruits, nuts, vegetables, juice, and water. From 8:01pm-6:59am, participants will consume only water.

Option 2 – Participants will consume only juice and water from 7am-6pm. (After 6pm you are free to eat what you desire.) 

Please note that if you have any physical problems or are taking medication of any kind,  it is important to consult your physician before beginning a fast.

DAILY PRAYER POINTS

Day One | January 6th | Repentance

  • Pray, Lord, I ask for forgiveness for any sins I have committed knowingly or unknowingly. Cleanse me, O God, and create in me a pure heart, that I may walk in Your ways and live for You. (Psalm 51:10, Psalm 51:17)

  • Repent and ask God to forgive us for every idol and everything that we have placed before Him. Submit yourself to God and give Him access to your heart. (James 4:7)

  • Repent for any doors we have opened in our lives that have caused us to operate from a place of disobedience. Doors opened by jealousy, hatred, bitterness, covetousness, envy, pride, a lying tongue, slander, idols in our hearts, sexual sins, pornography, masturbation, etc. (1 John 1:9)

  • Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to convict us of any hidden sin and help us to receive His forgiveness. Ask for times of refreshing that come from repentance. (Psalm 139:23-24, Acts 3:19)

  • Pray and ask the Lord to grant us the strength and determination to turn away from sin and pursue righteousness. Guide us to live in alignment with Your will, empowered by Your Holy Spirit. (Ezekiel 18:30-32)

  • Ask God for His mercy to enable you to present your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. (Romans 12:1)

Day Two | January 7th | Obedience to God

  • Pray, Lord, give me a willing heart to obey Your Word and commands. Give me understanding to follow Your ways, that I may live in alignment with Your will and experience Your blessings. (Deuteronomy 5:33, Psalm 119:34)

  • Pray, Lord, I surrender my will to You. Help me to present my life as a living sacrifice and submit fully to Your plans, trusting in Your perfect will for my life. (Romans 12:1, Matthew 26:39)

  • Pray, Lord, place in me a deep desire to obey You with all my heart. Help me to hide Your Word in my heart so that I may live in a way that pleases You and brings glory to Your name. (Psalm 119:11)

  • Pray that God would fill you with a heart to surrender to His leadership and obey Him daily. (Matthew 16:24)

  • Pray, Lord, help me to surrender to Your call on my life. Help me to walk in a manner worthy of Your calling. Empower me to be obedient and step boldly into the path You have prepared for me. (Isaiah 6:8, Ephesians 4:1)

Day Three | January 8th | Deliverance

  • Pray for the full armor of God to protect you from spiritual attacks and to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

  • Pray for the power of the blood of Jesus to cleanse and purify you from all unclean spirits. (1 John 1:7)

  • Decree and declare deliverance from every oppressive influence and power that drives us, influences us, and operates through those around us. Pray and ask the Lord to deliver His children from every form of oppression. (Ephesians 6:12, James 4:7, Luke 10:19)

  • Pray that the Holy Spirit convicts and transforms those entangled in perverse desires. Pray for the light of Christ to expose darkness and break all chains of perversion. (Romans 8:5-6, Ephesians 5:13-14)

  • Pray against hopelessness. May those bound by depression find hope and an answer to their faith, walk, and existence. (Proverbs 13:12)

  • Pray the Lord would deliver anyone who has fallen into pits and is stuck in cycles of sin. Pray for every demonic cycle to be broken by the power of God. (Psalm 40:2)

  • Pray against every form of fear and timidity in the hearts of those struggling with anxiety in the name of Jesus. Pray for a sound mind and self-discipline, replacing anxiety with the peace that surpasses understanding. (2 Timothy 1:7, Philippians 4:6-7)

Day Four | January 9th | Forgiveness

  • Ask the Lord to search your heart and reveal any hurts or offenses that you need to forgive. Pray that He will empower you to forgive others as wholly and completely as He first forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31-32, Matthew 18:32-33)

  • Pray that we would not treat others as their sin may deserve but genuinely forgive. May our love for others be greater than their sin. (Psalm 103:10-11)

  • Pray that the Holy Spirit would cover and heal all hurts from offenses with His healing power. (Malachi 4:2, Jeremiah 17:4)

  • Pray that the Holy Spirit would transform our perspective on forgiveness. That He would help us to see it not merely as an act of mercy, but as a powerful expression of His love and healing. (Colossians 3:13)

  • Pray for a heart of reconciliation. Pray that God would grant us the strength and humility to seek reconciliation with those we have forgiven. May we not only extend forgiveness but also actively work toward healing broken relationships, just as He reconciles us to Himself through the sacrifice of His Son. (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

Day Five | January 10th | Teach Me to Pray

  • Pray, Lord, stir a deep hunger and thirst for Your presence within me. Just as a deer longs for water, may my soul long for time in prayer, seeking You with a passionate desire to draw closer to You each day. (Psalm 42:1, Matthew 5:6)

  • Pray, Father, help me to be consistent in my prayer life. Teach me to pray without ceasing and to never lose heart, even when distractions or weariness try to pull me away. May prayer become my first response in all circumstances. (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Luke 18:1)

  • Pray, Lord, help me to remove distractions and create space in my life for uninterrupted prayer. Teach me to set aside time and quiet my heart so I can focus solely on You and hear Your voice clearly. (Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16)

  • Pray, Lord, "teach us to pray." Help us to rely on Your Holy Spirit when we pray. Teach us how to hear from You and to be led by Your Spirit in prayer. (Romans 8:26, John 14:26)

Day Six | January 11th | Renewed Passion

  • Confess and repent for spiritual complacency and the distractions that have caused our hearts to grow cold in different seasons. Pray for a spiritual revival, for a renewal of our passion and love for Abba Father. Ask the Lord to reignite the flame of our first love and to help us keep it burning bright. (Revelation 2:4-5, Joel 2:12-13)

  • Pray and cry out to the Lord to fill us with a desire for Him and His house. May the appetite of our hearts be for the things of God. (Psalm 84:2)

  • Pray that the Lord would set our hearts on fire for Him. May we radiate with His glory, releasing the joy and hope that is within. (Romans 12:11-13)

  • Pray the Lord would give us the grace, confidence, courage, and boldness to not hold in or hold back what He’s placed in us. May we release the fire, release the anointing, and release all of Him that is within us. (Jeremiah 20:9)

Day Seven | January 12th | Obedience to My Call (in Service)

  • Heavenly Father, grant me the wisdom and discernment to recognize Your call on my life. Help me to understand Your purpose and direction for my life. (Jeremiah 29:11, Jeremiah 1:5)

  • Pray and ask God to open your ears to hear His voice clearly amidst the noise of the world, so that you may obediently follow the path He has laid out for you. (Isaiah 30:21, Psalm 25:4-5)

  • Pray that God would help us resist the temptation to look back or be distracted by worldly attachments, so that we may be fit for service in His kingdom. Pray that we will run with endurance the race God has set before us. (Luke 9:59-62, Hebrews 12:1)

  • Pray and ask God to help deepen our commitment to His work in our church. Pray for the grace to humble ourselves and submit to the will and calling of God over our lives. (Romans 12:11)

  • Thank God for the unique gifts and talents that He has bestowed upon you. Pray and ask Him to help you be a faithful steward of these gifts and to use them to serve others selflessly. Ask for wisdom and strength to serve others for His glory. (1 Peter 4:10-11)

Day Eight | January 13th | Peace

  • Pray, Lord, I surrender my worries and anxieties to You. Help me to find rest in Your presence and to trust fully in You, knowing that as I fix my mind on You, I will experience Your perfect peace. (Isaiah 26:3, Matthew 11:28-29)

  • Pray, Lord, give

me Your peace to overcome any fear or worry in my life. Ask Him to remind you that He is always with you, strengthening and upholding you. Pray, Lord, help me to rest in Your presence, trusting You completely in every situation. (2 Thessalonians 3:16, Isaiah 41:10)

  • Pray that the Lord will fill our hearts and minds with His peace in the midst of life's challenges. Help us to trust in Your promise of peace, even in troubling times. (John 14:27, John 16:33)

  • Pray, Father, help me to be a vessel of peace in my relationships. Let the peace of Christ rule in my heart and guide my interactions, that I may live in unity with those around me. (Colossians 3:15, Romans 12:18)

  • Pray, Father, grant me peace in my decision-making. Help me to trust in Your wisdom, knowing that when I seek You first, Your peace will guide me and lead me in the right direction, no matter the circumstances. (James 3:17, Proverbs 3:5-6)

Day Nine | January 14th | Divine Vision

  • Pray that our eyes be opened to God’s divine vision for our lives and for our church this year. Pray that we would walk in clear vision and accomplish the things the Lord has called us to do. (Habakkuk 2:2, Proverbs 29:18)

  • Pray and ask God to help us understand the specific steps He wants us to take in alignment with His will. Pray that God reveals and removes all blind spots in our lives, hindering us from doing His will and living out our full potential in Him. (Ephesians 1:18, Psalm 26:2, Psalm 139:23)

  • Pray that more of the vision and purpose of Light City Church will come to pass this year. Declare that more lives will be impacted, regions changed, and that many will encounter the Father at Light City. We declare the plans of God to be fulfilled in Jesus' name. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

  • Pray and ask God to open our spiritual eyes so we won’t miss divine moments and opportunities set up by God to fulfill His plans for our lives and the life of Light City Church. (James 1:5, Proverbs 3:5-6)

Day Ten | January 15th | Divine Direction

  • Pray for clear guidance and direction from God in all decisions and endeavors. Pray that God keeps us safe from making big mistakes when we make decisions. (Psalm 31:3, Psalm 37:23, Psalm 116:8, Proverbs 3:6)

  • Pray for sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's leadership in our personal lives and as a church. (John 16:13)

  • Pray for discernment to recognize and avoid distractions that may divert us from God’s divine direction. (James 1:5)

  • Pray for wisdom, so we can make decisions that follow God's plan and bring good things into our lives. (Proverbs 4:7-9)

  • Pray for faith to trust in God’s guidance even when the path seems unclear or challenging. (Proverbs 16:9)

Day Eleven | January 16th | Divine Discernment

  • Pray for the gift of discernment to recognize God's voice amid the noise of the world. (1 Corinthians 2:14)

  • Pray for discernment in making choices that align with God’s will and purpose. (Hebrews 5:14)

  • Ask God to help us recognize good from bad, so we can live pure and pleasing lives before God and man. (Philippians 1:9-10)

  • Pray for wisdom and discernment in our friendships and relationships. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you hold on to that which is good and disconnect from what is evil. Pray, "Lord, help me make choices that protect me from anything harmful." (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 NIV)

  • Pray for wisdom and discernment for our leaders as they make decisions for our church. (Proverbs 2:3-6)

Day Twelve | January 17th | Financial Stewardship and Increase

  • Pray that God guides you in being a faithful steward of your finances so that you're prepared for any increase that comes your way. Pray, "Lord, help me to be ready!" (Luke 16:10)

  • Pray for wisdom in managing your finances and making sound decisions that honor God. Also, pray that God would give us wisdom on how to get out of any debt this year. (Proverbs 3:9-10)

  • Pray for financial breakthroughs for individuals facing challenges, trusting in God's provision. (Philippians 4:19)

  • Pray for God's favor and an increase in our financial resources. Ask God to position us for wealth this year. Additionally, pray that our financial reserves grow so that we can generously contribute to those in need. (Psalm 115:14-15, Proverbs 3:9-10)

  • Let’s pray for God's wisdom and ideas to help us create wealth and increase financially. Ask God for grace and strategy to carry out the ideas He gives us. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

  • Pray for divine connections and partnerships that will contribute to financial increase. Pray for connections with individuals who possess wisdom and align with God's principles for financial increase. (Proverbs 13:11, Proverbs 13:20, Proverbs 15:22)

Day Thirteen | January 18th | Faith For Generosity

  • Pray for an increase in faith among our church to live lives of generosity. Ask God to deepen our trust in His provision, believing that as we give generously, He will provide abundantly. Pray for a collective faith that moves beyond fear and embraces the joy of giving. (2 Corinthians 9:11)

  • Pray for a greater understanding of God's generosity, asking that this revelation transforms our hearts and leads us to a joyful and sacrificial giving mindset. (Acts 20:35)

  • Pray for a transformation of hearts. Pray against any barriers, whether they be fear, selfishness, or materialism, that hinder a generous spirit. Ask God to break down these barriers and replace them with a heart that freely gives, recognizing the promise that with the measure we use, it will be measured back to us. (Luke 6:38)

  • Pray for opportunities and resources for our church to impact the region through generous acts of love and kindness. (Matthew 5:16)

Day Fourteen | January 19th | Favor & Provision (in Service)

  • Pray for divine favor from God throughout this year in the marketplace and in our personal lives. (Psalm 90:17, Psalm 5:12)

  • Pray for God's favor in the workplace and favor for those with businesses. Pray that we would have favor with man and with God. (Proverbs 3:4)

  • Pray that even in times of famine in the land, we will continue to encounter God as Jehovah Jireh. Declare that we will not be disgraced even in times of famine, nor will we beg for bread. (Genesis 22:13-14, Psalm 37:19, Psalm 37:25)

Day Fifteen | January 20th | Healing

  • Pray for divine healing for those in our church community who are facing physical ailments. (James 5:15)

  • Pray for mental & emotional healing for those who are in need of it. Pray for God to heal those who have a broken heart & crushed spirit. (Psalm 147:3, Psalm 34:18 James 5:14-16,1 Peter 2:24)

  • Pray for people to be healed from any trauma & loss that has occurred in their lives. (Joel 2:25, Psalm 146:8)

  • Pray against the spirit of death and release the spirit of life over our personal lives and families. (John 10:10, Psalm 91:5-8, Psalm 118:17)

  • Pray for the presence of God's healing power during our worship services and gatherings. Pray for an atmosphere of faith and hope, believing in God's ability to bring forth miraculous healings. (Matthew 9:22 Exodus 15:26, Malachi 4:2)

Day Sixteen | January 21st | Praying for Light City Partners

  • Pray for and release hope and strength to endure trials and challenges that Light City partners are facing now or will face in the future. (Romans 15:13, Ephesians 6:13, Isaiah 54:17)

  • Pray for God to raise us up righteous and mature leaders in our church and in the body of Christ. Pray that we will be co-laborers in Light City, with the same heart and mind, to bring forth God’s vision for this region. (Hebrews 5:14, Nehemiah 2:18)

  • Pray against all demonic assignments and hindrances towards Light City Church and its partners. Pray that we would walk in our authority as believers. (Luke 10:19)

  • Pray for an unquenchable hunger for God's Word within our hearts. Just as Jesus declared, "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God," may our spirits yearn for the sustenance found in His Word (Matthew 4:4)

  • Pray for growth in spiritual maturity among the Light City Church partners. As we enter 2024, may we mature in the Word to be able to handle meat and not just milk. (Hebrews 5:14)

  • Pray for unity and love among the partners of Light City Church. Pray that the Lord helps us not to do life alone but to be connected with one another with Godly love. (Ecclesiastes 4:12, Philippians 2:2)

Day Seventeen| January 22nd | Financial Provision For Light City Church

  • Pray for God's provision to abundantly meet the financial needs of Light City Church. Pray that we would have more than enough to continue to be a blessing to the community (Philippians 4:19)

  • Pray and ask God to touch the heart of Light City partners to tithe and give into the vision of Light City Church in a bountiful way to help fulfill God’s vision for our region. (Malachi 3:10, 2 Chronicles 31:12, 2 Corinthians 9:11)

  • Pray for the acquisition of land and property for a permanent home for the vision of Light City. Trust in the Lord's guidance and provision, declaring Psalm 127:1, "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain."

  • Pray for divine wisdom and favor in the process of securing a place where the vision given to the leaders can be established—a house of prayer, a women’s clinic, and more.

  • Pray for God's favor to rest upon every endeavor of Light City Church. Pray for wisdom and discernment for the leaders of Light City Church, asking God to grant them divine insight and clear guidance in making decisions that align with His will. (Psalm 90:17, James 1:5)

Day Eighteen| January 23rd | Release of Salvation

  • Pray for a widespread release of salvation in the community surrounding Light City Church. Pray and ask God to give us a heart for souls to be saved. Ignite the passion in us to plunder the kingdom of darkness and bring people to Christ. (Matthew 9:37-38, 2 Peter 3:9)

  • Pray that we will have the boldness to preach the gospel and evangelize to many (in our homes/schools/communities/church). (Mark 16:15, Ephesians 2:8, Matthew 16:24)

  • Pray for our family members to receive salvation and deliverance. (Hebrews 7:25, Ezekiel 11:19-20)

  • Pray for a supernatural increase in the salvation of men. Pray that God will draw His sons into the kingdom of God and into Light City Church.

  • Pray for God to use Light City this year to walk in powerful evangelism in our region. Pray for exponential increase of salvation, deliverance, and miracles in our midst. (Matthew 16:17-18, Acts 1:8)

  • Pray for those who have a fallen away to return home to Christ and to reconnect to the house of God. (Jeremiah 3:22)

Day Nineteen| January 24th | Teach Me How To Love

  • Pray for a deeper understanding of God's love and the ability to reflect it in our daily lives. Pray that any barriers within our hearts hindering the reflection of His love—are broken down. (1 John 4:7)

  • Pray that we would walk in love in our daily lives. Pray that we will be conduits of His love on the earth. (Ephesians 5:2, Colossians 3:14, 1 John 4:7-8)

  • Pray for patience and kindness in our interactions, demonstrating the love of Christ to those around us. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

  • Pray for a spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation, fostering a culture of love and unity within the church. (Colossians 3:14)

Day Twenty| January 25th | Release of Miracles

  • Pray for healing miracles, both physical and emotional. Pray for miraculous intervention and restoration of health in the lives of those who need healing. May God’s healing power flow through every cell, organ, and system of the body, bringing complete restoration. (James 5:15)

  • Pray for financial miracles, breakthroughs, and provision beyond human understanding in our personal lives (Philippians 4:19)

  • Pray for an atmosphere charged with expectancy and faith. Pray for a heightened faith within Light City Church, fostering an environment where miracles become a natural outpouring of God’s divine power. (Mark 9:23)

  • Pray for the Holy Spirit to powerfully move within Light City, igniting hearts with faith and expectancy for God's miraculous intervention in their lives. Ask God to break down any barriers to experiencing His power.

  • Pray that the Pastors of Light City Church experience a supernatural release of miracles in their personal lives and businesses. Pray for miracles that exceed human understanding. May God's miraculous power be evident in their leadership, inspiring faith and glorifying His name. (Ephesians 3:20)

Day Twenty-One| January 26th |Advancement of Light City’s Vision

  • Pray over the vision and purpose of Light City Church to come to pass in the New Year. Pray that more lives will be impacted, that regions will be changed, and many will encounter the Father at Light City. Let’s declare the plans of God to be fulfilled in Jesus name. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

  • Pray that Light City would grow into a house of prayer. Pray against all hindrances and disruptions set by the enemy to delay the vision of Light City Church becoming a house of prayer. Pray for divine protection and perseverance in the face of spiritual opposition. Ask for God's intervention to remove every obstacle hindering the fulfillment of this vision, enabling the church to rise above challenges and press forward (Isaiah 56:7)

  • Pray that we as partners would display a profound commitment to seeking God's face both individually and collectively. Ask for a shared dedication among the members to prioritize intimate communion with God in their personal lives and when gathered as a church body (Acts 2:42)
